Chris Krapu

Chris’s ongoing Ph.D. focuses on statistical hydrology and the dynamics of the pothole wetlands of the northern Great Plains. Recent and ongoing studies include projects oriented around efficient Bayesian estimation for highly parameterized mechanistic models and assimilation of large geospatial datasets into a Bayesian modeling context for environmental modeling. He is currently a NASA Earth and Space Sciences Fellow and was formerly involved in the Wireless Intelligent Sensor Network (WISeNet) NSF IGERT at Duke University. Chris is interested in collaborating with scientists from a wide array of backgrounds including ecology and public health as well as statisticians specializing in Bayesian methods.
